1. Operating ambient temperature
It is necessary to give the battery a proper temperature for normal operation and maintain it. For general batteries, the ambient temperature should be between 20-25 ℃, while the lithium-ion battery UPS can work normally at – 20-60 ℃, without air conditioning, so as to reduce equipment installation costs, maintenance costs and electricity costs.
2. Regular inspection should be carried out
Regularly check the terminal voltage and internal resistance of each cell battery. During the operation of lithium-ion battery UPS, due to the battery characteristics of each unit changing with time, the above-mentioned imbalance can not be eliminated by the internal charging circuit of lithium-ion UPS. Therefore, if the off-line equalization treatment is not taken in time, the imbalance degree will become more and more serious.
3. Re-float under certain conditions
The lithium-ion battery UPS power supply has been shut down for more than 10 days. Before restarting, the UPS should be started without load to use the charging circuit in the machine to recharge the lithium-ion battery for more than 10-12 hours and then run with load. The industrial UPS system has been in a floating charge state for a long time without a discharge process, which is equivalent to being in a “storage standby” state. If this state lasts for too long, causing the lithium-ion battery to fail due to “storage for too long”, it is mainly manifested in the increase of the internal resistance of the battery, which can reach several Ω in severe cases.
4. Need to reduce deep discharge
The service life of a lithium-ion battery UPS is closely related to the depth to which it is discharged. The lighter the load of the lithium-ion battery UPS power supply, the greater the ratio of the available capacity of the lithium-ion battery to its rated capacity when the mains power supply is interrupted.
When the lithium-ion battery UPS is interrupted by the mains power supply, and the lithium-ion battery is used to supply power to the inverter, most UPS li-ion battery will ring a periodic alarm with a gap of about 4s to notify the user Power is supplied by the battery. When the alarm sound becomes rapid, it means that the power supply has been deeply discharged, and emergency treatment should be carried out immediately, and the lithium-ion battery UPS power supply should be turned off. It is not unavoidable. Generally, do not let the lithium-ion battery UPS work until the automatic shutdown due to low battery voltage is over.
5. You can use the power peak to charge
For users who have long-term low-voltage power supply of the lithium-ion battery UPS power supply or frequent power outages, in order to prevent the battery from being damaged prematurely due to long-term insufficient charging, it is necessary to make full use of the power peak (such as late night) to charge the battery to ensure that the battery is There is enough charging time after each discharge. Generally, after a battery is deeply discharged, it takes at least 10 to 12 hours to recharge to 90% of the rated capacity.
In this era of environmental protection and high efficiency, lithium-ion batteries are the UPS batteries that most conform to the development trend of the times. With the continuous maturity of lithium-ion battery technology, the advantages of using lithium-ion batteries as UPS backup power sources are becoming more and more obvious. The construction plan has also been adopted by more and more companies. We see that lithium-ion batteries are gradually becoming an indispensable new friend in the data center computer room. With the continuous development of lithium battery technology, lithium-ion battery UPS will be safer and more convenient.
