Background
With the rapid growth of the global electric vehicle (EV) market, Azerbaijan is also actively promoting the construction of electric vehicle supply equipment（EVSE）to meet the increasing demand for EVs. As an energy powerhouse, Azerbaijan has long relied on the oil and gas industry, but with the global transition to sustainable energy, Azerbaijan is also seeking more environmentally friendly transportation solutions. Against this backdrop, an EV charging station operator (CPO) in Azerbaijan chose to work with SCU to jointly promote the expansion of the EV charging network.
Although Azerbaijan’s EV market started late, it has great development potential. With the support of government policies and the improvement of public environmental awareness, more and more consumers are beginning to consider buying electric vehicles. However, the popularity of electric vehicles depends on sufficient charging infrastructure. At present, the number of EV chargers in Azerbaijan is still limited, which makes it difficult to meet the growing demand. The EV chargers provided by SCU this time not only improve the coverage of the charging network but also enhance the availability and convenience of charging services.
Solution
SCU provided 14 units of 60kW DC fast EV chargers for the EV CPO, using the CCS2+GB/T standard. These EV chargers not only support the needs of the local market but also are compatible with international standards, providing efficient and reliable charging services for electric vehicle users in Azerbaijan.
SCU 60kW DC EV chargers have efficient and stable charging performance and are suitable for various types of electric vehicles. CCS2 GB/T EV chargers are compatible with electric vehicles of different brands and models, further improving the versatility and user experience of EV chargers. In addition, SCU EV chargers are designed to be sturdy and durable and can operate stably in different environments in Azerbaijan to meet the usage needs of high-traffic areas.
Outlook
The successful implementation of this project not only demonstrates SCU’s technical strength in the field of electric vehicle charging but also brings new development opportunities to Azerbaijan’s electric vehicle market. Through this cooperation, SCU has helped Azerbaijan CPO improve its charging service level, boosted the rapid development of the local electric vehicle market, and promoted Azerbaijan’s transformation from traditional energy to sustainable energy.
