For remote areas in the Middle East, power supply is still a problem that needs to be solved urgently. In the face of this challenge, SCU uses the advanced logic of “solar energy storage diesel generator” to tailor solutions for Middle Eastern customers and light up the light of hope in places without electricity.
Photovoltaic is the basis, for capturing the power of sunlight. The Middle East is famous for its unique lighting conditions. Photovoltaic systems can efficiently capture every ray of sunlight and convert it into clean electricity.
Energy storage system is a bridge to cross the obstacles of darkness. Photovoltaic power generation makes it difficult to overcome the limitation of no light at night. SCU integrates energy storage systems into the solution, stores electricity during the day, and provides stable and reliable power support at night, realizing efficient utilization and optimized configuration of energy.
Diesel generator is a backup to ensure power supply continuity. When photovoltaic and energy storage cannot meet the power demand, the diesel generator system, as an efficient and reliable backup power source, can be quickly started at critical moments to ensure the continuity and stability of customer power supply.
Background
The customer currently has a 200KW diesel generator, and 180KW photovoltaic, and the load peak power is less than 200KW. Add 2 430KWH/200KW energy storage containers as voltage photovoltaic voltage support to realize photovoltaic consumption. When the energy storage container is out of power, the energy storage equipment can be transported to the power grid for charging, reducing the startup time of the diesel generator and saving fuel consumption.
Function realization
Through the VSG switching cabinet, the pure off-grid energy storage system is used in parallel with the diesel generator and photovoltaic. When the diesel generator is shut down, the energy storage system operates in VSG mode, and photovoltaic and energy storage supply load energy storage in turn; when both energy storages are out of power, the diesel generator is started. When the energy storage and diesel generator are synchronized, the diesel generator circuit breaker is closed and the diesel generator is preferentially supplied to the load, so that the diesel generator operates at economical power consumption, and the excess power is used to charge the energy storage.
VSG technology, a pioneer in leading energy transformation
In the SCU photovoltaic storage integrated solution, VSG (virtual synchronous generator) technology is undoubtedly one of the most dazzling highlights.
VSG technology simulates the operating characteristics of traditional synchronous generators, enabling distributed power sources to better adapt to grid changes when connected to the grid, effectively improving the stability of the power system, ensuring that the system can quickly restore stability when power fluctuates or fails, and ensuring the safety of customer’s electricity use.
VSG technology has the ability to independently adjust active and reactive power, and can adjust the output power in real-time according to the needs of the grid, realize accurate energy scheduling, and be more flexible and efficient in dealing with complex and changing electricity needs.
SCU’s VSG technology advantage is not only reflected in the innovation and breakthroughs at the technical level but also in the actual value and long-term benefits it brings to customers. Through the use of this technology, customers in the Middle East can enjoy clean energy while achieving an independent, safe and sustainable energy supply.
