Background

China Petroleum & Chemical Corporation (SINOPEC) is China’s largest supplier of refined oil and petrochemical products, and the world’s largest refining company and second-largest chemical company. This energy and chemical giant ranks second globally in the number of gas stations and has consistently maintained a leading position in the Fortune Global 500 rankings in recent years.

As one of the most economically active regions in China, Zhejiang Province has vigorously promoted electric vehicles and actively promoted the construction of a green transportation system in recent years. With the continuous increase in the number of electric vehicles, the demand for EV charging infrastructure is also growing rapidly. As an important transportation hub, Zhejiang SINOPEC gas stations have gradually transformed into comprehensive energy supply stations under this background, providing efficient charging services for electric vehicles, and becoming an important part of promoting local new energy applications.

To meet this growing demand, Zhejiang SINOPEC chose more than 100 sets of electric vehicle supply equipment (EVSE) provided by SCU. This cooperation not only marks the solid steps of the traditional energy giant in the transformation to new energy but also reflects the common vision of both parties in promoting green travel and the development of a low-carbon economy.

Solution

SCU designed a distributed EV charger (EV Power Unit + EV Charger Posts) and a dual-gun EV charger solution for SINOPEC, a total of more than 100 EV chargers.

The SCU distributed EV charger adopts a split design with a flexible layout. Each power unit can be equipped with up to 12 EV charger posts. It can intelligently identify vehicle voltage and intelligently distribute power between extensions. The output power covers 180-480kW, the wide range output voltage is 50-1000VDC, and high and low voltage compatible charging.

Features:

  • The dual-gun EV charger supports single-gun charging and dual-gun charging at the same time, and is efficient in charging.

  • The capacity covers 60kW-360kW, and can be flexibly expanded according to demand.

  • The system heat dissipation adopts a cold and hot air duct separation design to avoid the control circuit working at high temperature.

  • High-brightness outdoor LCD screen, IP55 protection level, can be directly used outdoors.

SCU EV chargers have fast charging and efficient energy management functions and can provide charging services for multiple electric vehicles at the same time. The distributed charger improves the operating efficiency of the charging station. At the same time, these devices are compatible with a variety of models, meet the charging needs of different users, ensure the efficient operation of the charging station, and provide a more convenient charging experience for local electric vehicle owners.
