Data from the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers show that in 2023, China’s new energy vehicle production and sales accounted for more than 60% of the global share; from January to October 2024, production and sales reached 9.779 million and 9.75 million respectively, up 33% and 33.9% year-on-year respectively.
According to statistics from the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, since 2015, China’s new energy vehicle production and sales have ranked first in the world for 9 consecutive years.

- 2013 was the first year that China’s new energy vehicle production and sales were included in the statistical system, and the output that year was only 18,000 vehicles.
